Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tours booked with Maajabu Africa Safaris, a destination management company based in Arusha, Tanzania. They govern the contractual relationship between Maajabu Africa Safaris (“the Company”) and you (“the Client”).

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By booking any tour with Maajabu Africa Safaris, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The person confirming the booking does so on behalf of all clients included in the reservation and is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions for all such clients. All clients named in the booking are considered to have accepted and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. The booking contact acts as the primary point of communication for all travelers.

Deposit and Final Payment

A 35% deposit of the total safari cost is required to secure your booking. Payment instructions will be provided via email. The remaining balance must be paid at least 61 days before departure. For bookings made within 61 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Booking Agreement

Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received and written confirmation is issued. The person making the booking acts as the primary contact for all travelers and is responsible for providing accurate information. By booking, the client confirms:

  • They are authorized to book on behalf of all travelers.

  • All information provided is accurate.

  • Consent has been obtained to share details with Maajabu Africa Safaris.

If We Cancel

The Company may cancel tours under unavoidable circumstances. Alternative tours of similar standard will be offered, or refunds will be provided if necessary.

Force Majeure

Maajabu Africa Safaris is not liable for events beyond its control, including war, natural disasters, civil unrest, extreme weather, epidemics, or other unforeseeable events.

Travel Insurance

Clients are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, trip cancellation, and loss or theft of personal belongings.

Medical Conditions & Special Requirements

Clients must inform the Company of any medical conditions or disabilities prior to booking. Special requests, such as dietary or accommodation preferences, will be accommodated where reasonable but are not part of the contract.

Travel Documents

Clients are responsible for valid passports, visas, and vaccinations. Maajabu Africa Safaris is not liable for any costs or issues arising from missing or invalid documents.

Prices, Surcharges, and Taxes

Tour prices may change up to 30 days before departure. Surcharges may apply for accommodation, fuel, park fees, taxes, or currency fluctuations. Clients have 14 days to accept or cancel after notification.

Changes to the Itinerary

Minor or major changes may be requested by either clients or Maajabu Africa Safaris. Options include accepting changes, selecting another tour, requesting a price adjustment, or canceling with a full refund.

Risks & Liability

Participation in tours involves inherent risks. Clients must follow safety instructions. Maajabu Africa Safaris is not liable for damages caused by clients, third parties, or force majeure events.

Complaints

Any issues during the tour should first be addressed on-site. Unresolved complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of return.

Image Rights

By participating, clients consent to the use of photos or videos taken during tours for marketing purposes.

Local Laws and Regulations

Clients must comply with all applicable local laws and rules of tour providers.
